Inspired by the myth of Arachne, the talented young mortal weaver who challenged the goddess Athena with a weaving contest. However, after Athena realized that her skills were no match for the young Arachne, she shredded Arachne's beautiful tapestry into pieces and turned her into a spider so that she and her descendants would weave for all of eternity.
The Arachne ring is cast in yellow brass and her abdomen is set with a handmade glass floating opal globe, in white opal. These floating opal globes are handmade in small batches by Profound Glass
